Got things figured out for the class in the way of costs.

Like mentioned before, the cost of the class is $20 PLUS the cost of the decoys which are $18.25 for the teal and $21.25 for the bluebill. Simply do the math to come up with your price.

To get things rolling, and to keep the cost down, I have arranged for pick up from Lou on August the 8th. In order to make sure that this can happen I need to have a list of how many of each decoy is wanted by July 31st. I will also need to have a check no later than the same date in order to be able to pay for them and some other expenses. This will hold your spot. Everyone who replied to the first post, called, emailed, or pm'd me is currently on the list.

I'll be seeing about half of you guys this week so I can get it in person and save the postage.

Please post on this thread, NOT by pm or email whether you want the teal or the bluewing hen decoy or both. If want to add on an extra one or two to paint as drakes, do a couple more hens, etc, you can add them onto this order.

Thanks everyone, and I'm really looking forward to it. I'll see if I can find one of those countdown clocks on the web someplace.

Paul,

I'll take one of each. Question about the second bird, is it going to be a blueBILL or a blueWING? Just wondering.

99.9% sure its a BILL

You going to bring a notebook this time Dave, or would you like to buy a photocopy of my notes after class?

Hahahaha Chuck, very funny...telling a teacher to take notes. I'm used to giving notes but I'll bring a notebook just in case:)

Guys - Sorry I been dorment. Just got back from a mission trip.

This class is going to be a hoot! If you're anything like me, I'm just a little bit ADD. I jump around a lot. Thus, we'll paint these two ladies together. I do this when I am painting. Currently, I am painting rigs of gaddies, cans, mallards, GWT and a widgeon. How's that for jumping around???

Anyway, I appreciate your confidence in me and hope I can live up to your expectation. I do want to warn you, I paint decoys. I copy the species enough to represent it's live counterpart at 20-30 yards. My painting is quick and efficient. If you're looking for exact representation in the hand, my technique is not what you want. My paint time goal per each decoy is 30-60 minutes.

I look forward to this. In the next week or so, I'll post up some things you might want to consider bringing... Pat

I wish I lived closer to you guys. Does anybody do things like this on the east coast?

I'm not aware Charlie, but there are a lot of talented guys there, some from this site. Pick a spot and invite someone to teach and post it , and I'm sure you'll get some response. If you build it...
