I don't have any experience with them but if I was looking into Missouri for spring goose, I would check out "habitat flats" with Ira. I went there for opeing day blue wing teal and they have some pretty incredible stuff going on there plus a brand new lodge that is like 6K sq feet with 12 bedrooms.

My friend and I are considering a spring goose hunt with them because we know the time that they put into these hunts and I am sure that it would be an incredible experience.

I hunted with this group about 4 years ago. They did a good job as far as I could determine. They did the best they could do to put birds in our bag, and we killed about 60 birds in 2 days of hunting. They had very large set ups, almost adjacent to the wildlife refuge. The guides were friendly and talkative, the dogs were good, too. They cleaned our birds for us, and very quickly, too.

It was an awesome experience, all-in-all. Mound City Super 8 motel is clean and caters to hunters. I think I posted pictures of our hunt on this board, and will try to search my posts to see what I can find.

I think they have access to 6 or 8 giant fields, maybe more and hunt all day. Layout blinds in the corn fields...a very good time.

Mark, you might want to pick up our DVD if you want to see the way that our operation chases snows. We do it a lot differently than all of the other outfitters that I know of here in Missouri.

Mike, thanks for the nice comments and hope to see you up here again soon!

FYI, we are 90% booked for spring 2010 and I cant wait for it to get here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know I'd go with Ira. Tony, Ira, Aaron...these fellows know what they're doing, and a more enjoyable bunch to hang out with, you'll not find.

Great pics, Hitch! Good news is that the old wader shack is still there. Bad news is that it is more cluttered than ever!!!!!! Get the 24 hour flu every time I go in there after dark....
