My name is Gene Walk, and I am 54 years old, and have been duck hunting 42 years. I now live in north central Alabama, otherwise known as the "Eric Patterson Wildlife Area." I was transferred here with the Army Aviation group from St. Louis, Mo in 1997 and now work for the RAH-66 Comanche Program Manager's Office at Redstone Arsenal. I'm just learning to hunt ducks in Alabama, but my true love is flooded timber hunting for Mallards in southeast Missouri and Northern Arkansas. I am married to a tremendous lady named Loretta, and have one son named Todd. Most of my dogs have died and crossed over the Rainbow Bridge, and I just don't have the heart anymore to loose another, so I try to adapt to a different style of hunting to do the birds justice. I will be building a Devlin Broadbill as soon as "She Who Must Be Obeyed" finds another house, and I can set-up my workshop again. This is a great site, with a great bunch of guys that contribute selflessly to better our sport.
