I live in Plano,Texas, north of Dallas. I'm 46 years old and have been hunting ducks since age 17 when I fell in love with the flocks of ducks on Millwood Lake and the Boggy Creek area. I am a Hunter Ed instructor, and an NRA certified instructor in rifle, pistol and shotgun (scattergunning is my favorite). I practice oral and maxillofacial surgery (hence the "dr" part of my email address). My 2 year old lab is "Jake". My duck boat is a 16 ft Polarkraft all weld aluminum with the DU package and a 40 hp Mariner and Avery Blind. I paint my own dekes and want to get into carving one of these days.
Got a chance to hunt sea ducks with Bill Wasson and Alvin Chase 2 years ago ( as part of the DHBP Hunt)---what an experience. Liked it so much that I went to Washington state and hunted sea ducks with Steve Sutton this year. Still looking for that Harlequin and posssiby a Brant, but it will come with time. Also went over the Cascades and hunted greater Canada geese. Makes our lesser Canada geese in west Texas look puny by comparison. My black Lab Jake got his Master Hunter certification and qualified for the Master Nationals last year.
