I am 32 years old and have been hunting duck for about the last 7 years. My father took me duck hunting for the first time when I was 11 years old, I loved it. But regrettably, he like grouse and deer hunting better. So, with him being my hunting partner/mentor, that what I did also. Well, he has gotten a little older and climbing over deadfalls and climbing up deer stands has gotten a little more difficult for him. So now I take him hunting, only now its for ducks. All he has to do is climb in the boat and I pretty much do for him what he did for me all those years. We made our own boat a couple of years ago. We basically flew by the seat of our pants as far as the design and plans go. It is the Sutton special. Compared to the boats on the readers rig section, its Frankenstein, but it works. Fully loaded, it drafts about 4 inches of water. I am thinking about building another, but have yet to decide which design.
