Unlike the name would imply, mergansers aren't my favorite duck (although they do die cool). I just like the duck lingo my waterfowling bretheren come up with. Terms like sawbills, stickbills, cannies, perdues etc. when refering to ducks, bazookas, firestick and heaters when refering to weaponry, and cut'em, grind'em when refering to the best time to shoot. I'm sure you have many that may or may not be unique to your crew, just the same please share, that's what makes waterfowlers a unique breed.
