Well lets see, I've hunted waterfowl for over thirty years. Started in a 12 ft. punt with a canvas blind built around it. Quickly learnt that a top heavy blind is not the way to go, stops the wind but rolled over toooo easy. Hunted out of Layouts for years, then we built a sinkbox (battery) and that is the now the rig of choice. We have used one for over 20 years and in that time I believe we have had 5 different sinkboxes.
We usually use about 80 to 100 decoys and hunt in about 12 feet of water. Most of our decoys are home made consisting of 3/4" plywood bases, foam bodies, burlap covering and the fiberglass resin (magnun + size
)Our decoy shed has Blacks, mallards, bluebills, canvasbacks, whistlers, snow geese and a few Canada's.
