Carl from Daphne, AL here. I'm environmental scientist with the State of Alabama. Grew up hunting, trapping & fishing in the backwoods of northeast PA. I have lived here in Alabama since 1986. I hunt divers (bluebills, ringnecks, redheads and cans) and puddlers (mostly gadwalls, some teal & wigeons) on the Mobile Bay/Mobile-Tensaw River Delta complex. I've been seriously duck hunting for 3 years now. Already have collected 2 duck boats, a SeaNymph 1440 MV Jon, and 4 Rivers 9'6" Layout. I highly reccomend both of these boats. I've also collected about 120 decoys already. All plastic, a real mix Flambeau, Carrylite and G&H. I highly reccomend G&H gadwalls and canvasback decoys, they are really high quality plastic decoys. My other hobby is fishing. Mainly saltwater now. I have a 20' Proline center console I use inshore (specs, reds, sheepshead, flounder) and offshore (snapper, triggerfish, grouper & mackeral). I love to fish and would enjoy taking anyone from the site who happens to be in this neck of the woods. My big goal for next year is to get my first canvasback. I missed three last season and can I'm still kicking myself for every miss. I did manage to get my first redheads, shoveler and wigeon this year.
