Close to launch

IMG_9919.jpegIMG_9921.jpeg

I spent the day trying to get the boat ready for launch. Seems like a bunch of small things kept popping up.

I finished making the turnbuttons and fitting the painted floorboards.

After that it was rigging the sail and testing the set up. I moved the boat outside of shop so the boat has seen light of day.

I was having a problem with the snotter sliding down the mast so I added a thumb cleat. I still need to tweak the rigging.

Steady east wind and 3-5ft waves made me decide to wait for better weather for initial launch.

Will spend time finishing the stool racks and figuring out the spray shield.
