Has anyone noticed the prominence Google gives our site when you search duck boats or some similar term. We land somewhere in the top four. On other duck hunting related topics we seem to be getting high ranks as well. Brad Bortner mentioned the recent New York Times article on budget cuts affecting the bird banding lab resulted from a reporter who read a post on this site after googling. My son mentioned to me last night (and the reason I bring it up here) he sees this sight show up in a lot of duck hunting related searches and he didn't used to see it. I think it is directly related to the new forum software being much more friendly to google bots. The upshot is folks are finding their way to our community along a new path, or at least an easier path.

Yes. And I think it's great. Sites that have been around a long time carry a lot of weight in Google rankings.

And that's a good thing! They treat long-standing sites as somewhat of an authority. As it should be.
