I finished the Busick and got it in the water. The lowered foot area worked perfect. I can only imagine how painful the stock area would have been. I didn't even need any extra weight to compensate.
If anyone is looking to buy a new fiberglass one I would give Tony H. a call. He said his new design was about the same that I came up with. Being able to put my feet straight up and down with a bit of wiggle room let me hunt for six hours.
I missed the early morning flight. I didn't want to get up at 3 AM and slept in til 6. But I ended up with a couple drake mallards and a drake pintail. I total blew a chance at a goose or two when I missed three times on a flock of ten that came in. I think I got goose fever.
No pictures. I brought the camera, but the battery was dead.
