This has probably been asked a hundred times but where can I find info on building a sneakbox. I really like the feather edge Fricke style. Any help would be a great help!

mistic seaport i think it is i am in the process of building one right now when i get some more done on it ill start posting pics. Got to get the wife kitchen done first.

Thanks alot that gives me a starting point! I love the lines and history of these boats.
Is the plans from mystic seaport about the same size and design as the bob Fricke style?

Not quite sure since I have never seen the mystic plans. Bob builds a boat I believe designed off of Pat Heinrichs rib patterns.

If you search my past posts I have lots of pictures of my boat as well as my dad's old Fricke. Bob did change the design at one point to make the boat deeper to accommodate bigger hunters, and by bigger I mean normal sized! I really love the look of the older style ones, not sure how many he built, they don't look all that different than the current ones. All I know is when I started hunting when I was 10 all I wanted was a fricke sneakbox like my dad's and even though it took me a little while I finally have one.

My dad's old boat:

Blake, You can also find plans and information about sneak boxes in American Small Sailing Craft by Howard I. Chapelle . All builders had slight modifications in there boxes. The modern ones have been some what adaptable to outboards with some loss in seaworthiness and rowing but retaining all the other attributes of the sneak box.
