I'm looking for a vintage remington or the like ammo crate for a prop to take pics of my decoys. I prefer it be waterfowl related if you have or know someone who has one and are willing to sell it let's talk.
Thanks
Mike

tim saw the info you posted on the place to buy vintage shell boxs and was amazed at the selling price .Ihave two of the remington boxs in the shed in the same shape as advertized, i was wondering if they could fetch the same price for me If I were to sell them .What do you think?

I would put them on E-bay, place a reserve and give them a go. If you don't get what you feel they are worth it will only cost a couple of dollars.

Tim; thanks for the info.I might just list on ebay after turkey season ,leaving this sat toward lower de.[sussex co.]for a few weeks.

Mike;I have one I would sell .It is in size L=14" x W=10'x H=91/2'and is dove tail on all 4-corners no nails. The box shows printing as follows ,front in faint orange "Elley Small Amunition" With a crest shield and saying " Great Britian Elley Kyn factory of Imperial Chem. Inds.Metals div.Witton, Birmingham eng. On the right side markings in black ink saying, Five Hundred Grand prix Low Base GD 12M 71/2 ,and on the left side stapelled with a paper label ship to '' S.E. Laszlc 25 Lafayette st Brooklyn 1 NY .TO Slicers Sporting Goods Store 307 N. James St.Newport Del. and on the Back side in bold black ink letters 920 [topright corner of box] inthe center ,R.S.A. C. Philadelphia . The box shows weather wear and does not have a lid top to it.The box is believed to be about 60 to 65 yrs old ,some where in the 1945s. I don't know the true value of this box only that it is very old.I delt with the "MOM & POP ''sporting store when i was 15 yrs of age that was in 1945 I'm 77yrs old now.Mr & Mrs Slicer have passed on and the store is no longer. If interested I would consider any offer you would like to make. P.S. I have no pictures and don't know how to post. But I could try and send cell phone pics thou I've never don that either. Thank You for the interest. If you wish you can call me by land line at 1-302-999 1013 If there are any ?
