I have a set of yard sale goldeneyes that need to be repainted. Pretty sure these were LL Bean corks to begin with, and the paint looks original to my untrained eye. Definitely beat to hell.
I figure something black and white is a good start for a first attempt at repainting.
What should I do to prep the surface of the old decoys before painting? These have been heavily used in mostly salt water.
Oil or acrylic to go over the old paint?
