Guys and Dani,
So last week I posted about my friend Carol who was attacked by a gator. I think the tally is at five surgeries so far for her, but she is recovering slowly.
In the last couple of days a kayaker on the Waccama River of NC was paddling on that nice blackwater stream when he was attacked by a gator. No injury, but the video watches almost like a thriller movie. Quiet, peaceful paddling. Suddenly a gator attacks the man and his kayak. He is knocked under but some branches prevent him from falling out of the kayak. Gator disappears. He takes 30 seconds to gain his composure and then paddles like bleep to get out of there.
He is a paramedic.
Follow the link to the article and video from the Raleigh paper. Knowing what happened actually raises the tension as you watch it.
That's all we need is for gators to declare war on those of us who paddle/boat/fish/hunt in their territory,
