    1986-87 Evinrude 15 Issues

I agree. After digging deeper into this motor, I discovered that the compression has dropped very low. About 50 psi. I was tired of dropping money into it and feeling unsafe out there so I went out and bought a 20hp tohatsu. Love it so far. I will have to either sell the evinrude for parts or...

    1986-87 Evinrude 15 Issues

Having some issues getting my motor to idle. Ive played around with the timing, rebuilt the carb, replaced the fuel pump, new spark plugs. After having no success I rebuilt the carb again and noticed this worn spot in the air/fuel mixture chamber on the top of the carb. Wondering if anyone has...

Decoy Carving - Bandsaw a necessity?

Thank you all for your thoughts, I think I would like to start with cork bodies with basswood heads and wood bottom boards. Cork seems like an easier product to work with than full wood bodies but still produces a high quality gunning decoy. Buying the pre-shaped cutouts is probably my best...

Decoy Carving - Bandsaw a necessity?

I am looking to make my first attempt at carving this winter. Although I have virtually every other power tool for work, I dont currently own a bandsaw. Is it possible to dive into carving without one? I just dont see any use for it for the type of work I do other than carving. If it isnt...

    A tornado of mallards

Ahhhh I was close. Yes, Colorado is one of those states that doesnt immediately come to mind when you think of waterfowl hunting. Eastern Colorado feels very much like Kansas. There are tons of geese that make their way through that part of the state.

    A tornado of mallards

Thats truly an incredible sight. Is this Colorado? I recently moved back to NY after living in Denver. I'm still in contact with some gunning buddies out there and they're having an amazing duck year. Thanks for sharing.

    South Bay Lighting Ideas

Thank you Mark, I didnt realize that you really want a warmer color as opposed to a bright white. How long have you had the stanley and are you in a saltwater environment? I owned a fatmax handheld but it gave out on me rather quickly.

    South Bay Lighting Ideas

Joe, Thanks for the recommendation. Im going to look into those. There are so many options out there it's hard to know which ones will hold up to the salt and bouncing around in the boat.

    South Bay Lighting Ideas

Steve, I believe the lights that you're referring to are made by "Innovative Lighting." I have seen them available on amazon before. Although I definitely should add the legal navigation lights, I was moreso thinking about some sort of spotlight (permanent or handheld) so I can see where I'm...

    South Bay Lighting Ideas

Does anyone have a system for lights on their South Bay? I am trying to figure out a decent spotlight system that doesnt require me to keep a heavy battery in the boat.

    Long Island Opening Week/Cooking Brant

Thank you all for these ideas. I will give them a try as the season progresses, but at least you all have given me hope the these birds can in fact be eaten without having to plug your nose and chasing it down with a hard liquor. Joe, Good luck on your hunt! Now that you have all of this...
