    It is a wood duck/hooded merganser hybrid. Hooded mergansers have long been documented using wood duck nesting boxes. I can imagine this is a key factor in the hybridization of this bird. I would love to know what it's call sounded like, as well as it's diet. I just can't believe...

    EPA denies lead ammo ban

    Here in South Carolina, we can shoot marsh hens and snipe with lead in the very same marshes that we are forced to use steel for ducks. I don't quite understand this.
