    Burls

I don't know how this wood compares to ash but I use a lot of ash burls for making handles on fishing rods. The wood is hard but the burls turn down really nicely and they are beautiful

    Youth Shotgun Help

I am a left handed shooter and I never shot a left handed gun until after college. The only guns I had issues with were bolt action rifles. I could not get used to taking my hand off the fore grip to put another shell in. Made me a better rifle shot because using a bolt was a lot like using a...

    surf scoter

While hunting in North Dakota this fall I shot a hen surf scoter. Is this common place or have you heard of other people doing the same. Part of the story that I enjoy is we were only about 25 miles from Rugby ND which some people call the geographical center of North America. We were about...

    V-boards for Canadian geese

I am wondering what size wood is needed to supPort/float silos cut from 1/4 plywood? I also have a lot of 1in and 3/4 in PVC. If that was filled with foam and capped would that supply enough flotation?

    V-boards for Canadian geese

Has anyone used an all V-board spread on the water for Canadian geese? How do they work? Do you need to have floaters in with them? Being from Minnesota I have never seen a V-board used.

    Duck food

I would not know were to buy wild rice to grow but I have harvested it at a local lake and put it in one of the ponds we made at my parents. My brother and I collected half a gunny sack full in the fall. Then we sunk the sack in the water during the winter (the rice needs the cold water to...

will changing the height of the sides alter the size of decking? Kind of the same question but does arching the decking require resizing of the decking? I like these Ideas but really want the simplest solution. Thanks for the help. Derreck

    big feet and storage

I will be starting my Devlin bluebill build as soon as the snow leaves but I have a couple of questions about modifications. Is it difficult to add a couple of inches (possibly 2") to the side walls to allow more room for my feet and storage? Will this compromise the low profile?
