Hi Wes, I did the canvas and conduit style too on a aluminum 12' v hull. Bought everything from home depot. I used beam clamps from the electrical section so entire canopy can be removed. Pm me I'll send u pics. Fun and easy to do. Greg

Hello Tyler - The alternative to sewing is using a product called Bish's tear mender. Cut your canvas an glue it! This is a latex product, its waterproof and lasts. It dries very fast and is pretty easy to work with. If you have any questions email me. Greg

Hi Gary- JB weld works great. Also where you get more flex in the boat i suggest using 3m 5200/overnight cure type. To find the leaks in my boat i filled it with water and marked the drips on the outside with a felt tip pen. 5200 has to be applied in temps above 40 degrees. I patched a crack...

Miscanthus is seedless and it only spreads by division. It's not an invasive species.

I use an ornamental grass - Miscanthus sinensis-common name is maidenhead grass it dries to this color. It holds up very well. It's a very easy plant to grow, survives cold temp, height 5', easy to divide in spring,makes a nice summer screen. You'll have an endless supply of cover. Check it out.

Boat looks good. I use maidenhead grass its tall 6'. I used it last year and it satisfied me. It's a little messy but it holds up pretty well and the best part is I have a ton of it on my property. Good luck and stay safe.
