California Quail

They are on the move around here as well, we usually have one or two nest behind my shed each spring. last year we had 8 chicks with one and only two with the other. Two years ago we had 15 chicks under one hen, but steadily lost chicks, likely to cats in the area. I took these photos through our bedroom window.
