2025 Devlin Snow Goose Thread

Thanks Steve!

1 - yes, frog tape. I've used it for years on home painting projects and prefer it to blue tape. Comes off the roll pretty easily, and also off the surface easily, yet sticks well enough for painting.

2 - Scott Logan was very responsive to my questions when I was researching. scott.hogan@wearloncorp.com is his contact info. I generally considered weight in my thinking, but don't think I ever asked how much it added. I was considering a dynel, and just figured wetlander would almost certainly weigh less than dynel plus extra epoxy.
I doubt weight will be a significant factor. The bottles don't feel like a super dense liquid, and some weight will disappear during drying/curing. I'm looking forward to trying to pole my boat across the front lawn. Probably will be a fail, but it'll be fun to try.

So you did the double layer tape as recommended? I'm toying with one layer, remove after priming, then retape. Just me being non-conformist.

Bottom finished, now just a week-long wait before flipping. Will hit a period of limited work after flipping due to some planned trips, so slow will actually be creeping. But I'll be glad to be on the other side of the boat.

Wetlander topcoat went on pretty much the same as the primer - heavy initial fish-eyeing but went away with secondary roll and subsequent coats. I got 3 thin coats out of the half gallon.
