August workbench

Thanks Bob, I'm blushing.

We all learn best when we can learn from each other. William and I bounce ideas off each other all the time, nearly every day. I'm always ready to learn something new, a new process or new material a better way to do things.

There aren't a lot of people who make custom foamers, not very many people who flock decoys. Not very many people around to ask for advice.

My son doesn't carve, so I'm not sure how long the custom decoy carving in foam is going to carry on, I keep trying to get William to join the party and I'm confident he will some day.

One big thing we are into now is creating color recipes for flocking. I just want to be able to have the perfect base for flocking various species.

By the way Bob, where do you get your flocking?

Accolades to you are well earned.....
I purchase my flocking from Flocking Unlimited also.
Big bulk amounts can be acquired at 3D Industrial in Southern California. Their prices are cheap and it is quality nylon flocking. But, if you don't buy large quantities the shipping costs are exorbitant +++.

We go through a lot of flocking, I'm impressed with the Flocking Unlimited product. It sifts so nice and shipping is free. Caleb and I flocked 100 pulsators in under 3 hours today. I'm sure glad to have him out here working with me again. We will get to do it again tomorrow. He works 4 ten hour days a week and has time to work on decoys over the long weekends.
