Wood and canvas duck skiff

I just acquired this old duck skiff and plan to restore it to its original condition. Red is a fine color for a canoe but not a duck skiff. The original green shows through where the red paint is peeling.

Can anyone help me identify the manufacturer? It looks factory built to me. I got it from near Eagle River WI. IMG_8733.jpeg

Cant help on mfg, but sure is a nice looking old hull!
Please keep us updated on the restoration!

The length and the square cockpit would seem to rule out any of Dan Kidney boats. I wouldn't put it past a manufacturer to have a 15' LOL boat cited in the catalog but actual construction be 14'8", but that squared off cockpit is pretty distinctive and I see nothing like it in the Kidney catalog. It would seem be an odd after-market alteration, too, but who knows?

The boat was built on a hard canoe form. With the elaborate time a canoe form takes to build i suspect this was not a one off boat and there were many made . The cockpit being squared off is puzzling because after building the form for the hull a bending jig for the deck combing would be simple. If the deck is anything other than cedar or pine it has probably been replaced.
