Anybody use PT deck screws for boat build?

Has anyone ever used the ceramic coated deck screws (PT/composite, etc) to build a boat?
I am looking at Silicon Brass, which are about $.30 - $.40 each, and think that the PT screws are looking pretty good...But would hate to be penny wise and pound foolish.
I am using screws primarily for chine/guardrail/gunnel/keel/stem
Wood will be encapsulated.

I would look at either Jamestown Distributors or Hamilton Marine for silicon bronze screws. A box of about 100 will run you in the area of $40-$50. Or, go with stainless steel screws. I've been told by a number of builders that you can use stainless for areas of the boat that you don't see, and use silcon bronze for those areas that you do. I'd tend to stay away from the deck screws, especially if you are already spending $$ on marine plywood, epoxy, paint, hardware, etc. My dory was built using galvanized boat nails and bronze rivets.

Thanks!
I'll go with SS on the bottom (chine/keel/stem) and SB on the top (guard rail/gunnel etc.).
I have used Jamestown in the past, and they were great.
