I had to paint (3) 4'x8' sheets of plywood yesterday for the kennel. After getting them home from the lumber yard, I got that first one on the saw horses and in no time at all had it primed. The next two went as quickly. I made sure to add plenty of red hot chili powder to the paint to make it worth while for any dog that chooses to gnaw on them. The same thing was done with the white paint we bought. The chili powder makes the paint have that light pink look to it but we don't care because it works.
As soon as the sheets were primed I then got them painted and all I had to do then was cut them down to 2'x8' and that was it. We did have a slight breeze blowing but with the way everything was drying so quickly I just had to find out. So my first stop was the thermometer which is in the shade on our patio. It read 103F. Then I checked the humidity rate and it was at 2%. My gosh that is a very frightening combination. No wonder my job was so easy to get done.
We like hanging out at the pond and so do the dogs. Here are some pictures.

Here is my 11 month old pup, Chip. He sure has been fun to have hanging around with me.

Bev's dog, Serrano, gets better looking every day. My wife is heading for Wisconsin next week. I think I'll toss her girl a few bumpers and see what happens---

Habanero is one dog I can hardly wait to get out in the duck blind this fall. She did such a remarkable job in teaching Chipotle what to do in the blind. "Sit like a bump on a stump."

Bev had Chaco out and was combing him. As you can see by the goofy facial expression that he has---he loved it.

We had someone who needed a picture of one of our black males that is 5 weeks old today. This little guy will be heading south of Las Cruces in a couple of weeks.

I never realized it before but some times there is a reason for having long legs.

On hot summer days I can remember my kids and what they did with a garden hose. The only difference is that this time it was Serrano who was having as much fun as kids do.
