Last Wednesday my buddy got one while I was riding along but it wasn't nearly as fluffy as yours. Still a nice one for this area.
He then got his second ever badger.
It had dug a pretty good hole right next to the stake. He had to pull the chain up to get a shot at it down the hole. It was dead by the time of this photo or it might have gotten pretty exciting. The next check he got another badger. Not sure why all the badgers showed up in that area this year but the farmers will be happy to have a few less in the area.
The guy shot a nice 5x5 on Saturday just to keep his luck going.
Great pics, brings back good memories.
We were cleaning out my Mom's house this weekend, found my trapping basket, shovel, sifter, small sledge and a copy of Hawbakers "Trapping North America's Furbearers".
If I had more time and was closer to the woods, I would put them to use!
