Nice photos. If your looking for help look me up. I'd love to trade some labor for a chance to shoot some geese. Luke

What a great photo document. I will look forward to seeing some pics of geese and mallards. Good luck.

It has about 4" of stone under it. Had heavy rains last 2 days and not a drop of rain. Pick a high point in the field.

Glenn, do you own or lease the field or is it a friends? We've tried several times up here to convince some of our farmer friends to allows us to install a pit, much smaller one too without success. I've never been turned down re actually hunting the fields, very fortunate in that regard, but they all seem to draw the line re the pit installation. Do you remove it at the end of the season?
Awesome pics, good luck on the geese.
Best - Paul

My father in-law owns the land. He is the one who told me to put a pit in. I was fine hunting out of my layout blind. Its 16ft long now he said to make it 20'. Didn't have the money for all that. I have about $800-$900 in it. over $450 in just plywoood. No going to stay in. Its been a lot of work would not want to go tru all this again.

Sounds like he might want to hunt with you. It sure looks alot more comfortable than my layout.
Do you get good flights of geese in your area?
