I'm looking for some canvas like what would be used for a spray-shield on a bbsb etc. Looking for roughly 12yds of open-water gray color. I've found similar material on ebay but nothing in gray. Any help or suggestions on what specific material i should be looking at would be helpful.

I have had the same problem.Lou has a supplier for just what you need.I have to get some when i get the frame for my boat done.So try to give him a shout!
