Mossy Oak Camo Gun Skins

Any explanation for this post?

I think it's pretty self explanatory...Boyd tried a camo kit on his gun, and it work well for him. If you're hungry for spam, you missed it, there was a shmuck posting that yesterday.

Thanks for sharing Boyd.

The original post had two photos and no text.....

It hadn't been edited until I removed some gobbly-gook text where Boyd was trying to post the inline photo, but I never saw more than one attachment.

Interesting, wonder if it would keep barrels protected from saltwater???

I agree it looks great! I would think that saltwater could wreak havoc if it got underneath (and it would since I don't think there is an adhesive).

Good grief! I put the quote in, and then tried to explain that my computer has been acting up and for some reason I didn't get text put in with the first post.
Now, it didn't put my text in again after I "quoted". I don't know what is going on? It sahttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlPAsAPHgPAys that if it's properly installed, it won't let water get underneath.
I will try to attach a link to the You Tube instructions video.

I noticed last week I'm having issues with Microsoft Explorer after an update I did not authorize. I've tried to reload an older version but no luck! It must be time for a change to a new browser! I don't like it when software company auto-updates with no permissions or intervention.

Boyd or Howard,

I watched the installation video but there were no close ups. When you heated the wrap is it thin enough to conform and somewhat fill the checkering on you forearm and stock or can you feel the material give or feel voids when you grip. Just wondering if that's an area that will lead to tearing.

Thanks,

Ed it will conform to the checkering. I used a hair dryer with Glenns gun and it did a decent job but next time I will use a heat gun and should get an exceptional job.

I don't know if you can see it in this picture, but yes, it fills in the checkering nicely. The key is to use a heat gun. The vinyl is pretty easy to work when it's warm.

Thanks Boyd and Howard.

For those who would like to see the installation procedure and what other patterns are available here are a couple of links.

Below the picture there are some tabs. Click the "How to install tab". There is a youtube vid. Looks simple enough. I believe I'm going to try it on one of my guns.
