Love the old pictures. No worries about him he is just doing what puppies do. Its my fault for instructing the kids that it would be fine for them to put those decoys on the floor while we were straightening up the house. I had brought them in to put pad weights on and leather loops.
Those two decoys are slotted to go into my walk in beaver pond bag. Once the season progresses a little I plan to swap them in and the woodies out of that rig. If those dents from his teeth are the worse damage they see over there years of use I will be shocked.
I agree some day ten years down the road when I pick that decoy up and wrap the line I am sure looking at him it will bring a smile to my face.
Truth be told I did not get worked up, the paint on those is simple and did not have a lot of time into them, now if it had been one of my larger common merganser rig or the black ducks I finished recently I might have cried a little...
