No more of those, you crusty old cake. The body is basswood, and my days of hand carving basswood waterfowl decoys are way over.

Have made more wire/canvas Brant, but think I have only one that has not migrated.

If and when they show up here in western NY in good numbers, or I go back to the coast, then maybe I'll make more.

Besides, YOU have enough Brant decoys for both of us. [smile]

That is one nice Greenwing Teal! Very nice! I would be hard pressed to shoot any teal if I had a spread of those decoys in front of me, as all my attention would be focused on the decoys bobbing in the water. Cedar?

Finished the last feather details and highlights on repaints and repairs of my rig birds. No more hens for awhile...I need to slide these back in their transport bags before I change my mind and paint their side-pocket feather groups in in a more realistic fashion.
