Pics would help your response rate, but if you can carve a deke or hang cabinets you can repair a transom. Is the rest of the boat worth saving? I'd give the job a Chiquita PITA rating of six without more info. By the time you're done you'll know what you're doing!
Ditto on Rons comments. Get the newest/biggest bike that fits your budget. A Queen seat is a necessity if it fits "your" lifestyle. Great stuff.
Use it to scout your next hunt from the highway and beware of the need to stop suddenly. It Happens to all riders quite often. Be ready. Always...
Hello again Todd. Been a while since I read up on the old site. But I always enjoyed what you felt and how you expressed it in writing. Seems to me you're both happier and sadder than the average bloke and I hope you find Grace in that. It's a gift. Thanks.
For Sale. 2010 Devlin BB3 duck boat with 1981 Mariner (built by Yam) 30hp and 2010 Lowe Karavan trailer with swivel tongue. Very good condition. Electric start, bilge pump, accessory port, boat gear. Needs batteries. Has been in storage since I transferred East but we had it on the water...
My buddy Noah (pictured in icon) passed away last week. I guess the hurt caused by his death means we spent a lot of good times together. Good dog Noah.
David:
Very nice build. American Family insures my BBIII for liability and up to $3,500 for about $30 bucks a year. No issues with pictures or push back from the agent. I called and they tacked it onto my other policies. Liability for trailered boats is covered by the tow vehicle policy...
Don't use gas Bob. Too dangerous. The powerwasher will work - I used it to knock foam away from the underside of a hot tub to get at the plumbing and it worked great. It WILL make a mess though, so you may want to lay down tarps or something to make the cleanup of a million bits of foam...
Question for the LaCrosse team: Should I bring my camper to enjoy the festivities the night before or show off my BBIII? Can't bring both and tents are "no longer an option". Maybe I should build a duck command center like Tom's...
Thanks.

David:
Go with Pete, Chuck and Tom's advice...you will find that building with stitch and glue is a very forgiving process. Very few mistakes are "unfixable". It may cost a hundred bucks a sheet, but it's only plywood!
Have fun.

Ryan:
A couple of thoughts...are you hunting in saltwater? Because of Tod's location and posted pics I'm guessing he uses his boat in saltwater and that's probably a factor contributing to his corrossion issues. Second, do you need to bed the aluminum plate in 5200? If I understand what...
David:
The best therapy I can think of for your "buyer's remorse" condition is to mount the motor as soon as possible and take it out on a maiden voyage. After that your buyer's remorse will become guilty pleasure.
Had to pile on to this post...I built a BBIII last year and mounted an older 30hp two stroke with factory prop. It runs like the wind when I'm alone, does just fine with a second hunter and gear, but can barely get onto plane with a third hunter. I built the BBIII because of its flexible...
Bill:
I would call the DNR in Rhode Island to see if they partner with other states and share hunter safety and licensing records. Here in the midwest, I can buy hunting licenses for my boys and I either online or at any retail outlet that sells licenses. The clerk will enter my driver's...
