March "What's on your Workbench?"

Here's a first of specie for me. Hollowed Western red cedar and white pine head.

....got some more done on the stretched out Honk I've been working on. The bill/tongue were done with acrylics and will get a couple coats of semi gloss. The rest is blocked on with black and white rustoleum and will get two coats of flocking. Now, to learn how to use an airbrush!

The crunch for Westlake is on! This will be a trade deke for a group of friends that I had the pleasure of hunting divers with in Kentucky. Hopefully I can get it painted by this weekend so the paint will be dry enough for traveling. It may not be going into the pool but I'll have other birds to float at the Saturday night pool float. I hope everyone else is making progress...no pressure;)

John I thought that Redhead was sweet especially with the grains showing in the vermiculation, then I scrolled down and saw the black...black beauty that one is fantastic. Thanks for sharing Dave.
