Anthony, Barnegat is a great bay to hunt - a lot of variety in birds and hunts. I'd leave the mallards at home and stick to your diver rig. brant decoys are optional, they are pretty friendly birds. Blacks are wary, but since you can only shoot one, don't kill yourself to make a day hunting...

Doctari sell good clips & tar line. http://www.doctarilonglines.com/ buy the guide series if you have fixed decoys/lines. the hunters are the same but easier to clip w/frozen fingers, if you unclip your dekes from the main line each time you move them.

hey Robert - I know what you mean! I think they put somehting in the material that shrinks it up a little each time you wash it. After a year or 2, they don't fit anymore! Pretty sneaky if you ask me.... Dave

Yeah - mostly get the "blush" (shiny wax on expoxy) off the newly epoxied parts. you can do it with a green pad and soapy water, or sand a bit. Don't take too much off, more of a wash, and rough up. nice boat. Dave

As I understand it, Cabelas is done with Herters DIY, and maybe all the product lines. There is a thread on this site about that as well, but the bargain cave is getting pretty thin...I expect things to start popping up on EBAY from those people smart enough to stock up (not me) on Herters...

Looks great! I like the head position, like its looking down into the water for some lunch... I found a decent bird site - lots of pics of NJ "shore" birds. Not sure if it will help with decoys or not, but some good photos nevertheless...
